X-ray
An X-ray is used to diagnose diseases by taking pictures of the inside of the body. For your convenience, Appalachian Orthopedic Center performs X-rays on site at the time of your physician visit. X-Rays are performed by experienced technicians and reviewed by our experts to help diagnose and treat your condition.
MRI
MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) is an imaging method used to view internal body structures. An MRI is a noninvasive device which utilizes the properties of magnetism to create a three-dimensional, internal images of the soft tissues of the body, including meniscus, muscle, ligamentious structures that cannot be visualized on plain X-ray.
Computed Tomography or CT scan
CT scanning combines special x-ray equipment with sophisticated computers to produce multiple images or pictures of the inside of the body.Electromyography or EMG
EMGs can be used to detect abnormal electrical activity of muscle that can occur in many diseases and conditions, including carpel tunnel.
